Designed specifically for Canon's APS-C format R-series mirrorless cameras, it offers a wide-angle to near-telephoto equivalent zoom range of 29-72mm. The retractable design is also perfect for everyday carry when you want to put the camera in your bag.
Two aspherical lenses and a Super Spectra coating are used to minimize aberrations and reduce ghosts and flares in an optical design. Optical image stabilization ensures sharp images and offers up to 4 stops of image stabilization or up to 6 stops of calibrated IS on compatible camera bodies. Additionally, the lead-screw STM AF system is smooth and quiet enough for video shooting, yet fast enough to keep up with rapid continuous focus.
