The Canon Speedlite 430EX III-RT is a versatile external flash built for photographers who want reliable power, intuitive control, and advanced wireless functionality in a compact design. Compatible with Canon E-TTL and E-TTL II, it integrates seamlessly into the EOS system for consistent, accurate flash exposure.
Powerful Performance in a Compact Body
With a Guide Number of 43m (ISO 100), the Speedlite 430EX III-RT delivers enough power for a wide range of shooting situations. Despite this output, it remains highly portable at just 295g and 113.8mm in length, making it easy to carry in any camera bag.
Powered by four AA batteries, the flash offers fast recycling, returning to full power in approximately 3.2 seconds, with a recycle time range of 0.1–3.5 seconds.
Advanced Wireless Flash Control
The Speedlite 430EX III-RT supports both 2.4 GHz radio transmission and optical triggering, offering flexible off-camera lighting options.
- Radio triggering allows control from up to 30m without line of sight
- Optical triggering works up to 10m using compatible EOS cameras or optional transmitters
- Supports master and slave operation
- Control up to 15 flashes, organised into 5 groups across 15 channels
- Optical mode supports unlimited flashes across 4 channels and 3 groups
This dual system makes it easy to integrate into existing Speedlite setups.
Intuitive Controls and Clear Display
The control layout mirrors that of EOS cameras for a familiar shooting experience. Shortcut buttons and a multi control dial allow quick adjustments, while a lock switch prevents accidental setting changes.
A rear LCD panel displays shooting information clearly and includes backlighting for low-light environments.
Flexible Light Shaping for Portraits and Events
The flash head tilts up to 90° and rotates 150° right and 180° left, allowing light to be bounced off walls or ceilings for softer, more flattering illumination.
