The Canon 12x36 IS III Image Stabilized Binoculars combine powerful 12x magnification with Canon’s third-generation Image Stabilization system, creating a compact optic designed for birdwatching, nature observation, and sporting events.

Using Canon’s proprietary Vari-Angle prism system, internal gyro sensors detect vertical and horizontal movement and instantly correct for hand shake, delivering smoother views and easier panning. A built-in microcomputer enhances stabilization performance, shortens startup time, and improves energy efficiency.

Optical Performance
These binoculars feature 36mm objective lenses and a Porro prism optical path, providing rich depth of field for better distance judgement. Canon’s Super Spectra multi-coatings reduce light loss and improve contrast, while a doublet field-flattener corrects spherical aberration for distortion-free viewing, especially toward the edges.
With a wide 60° apparent angle of view and a field of view of 262 feet at 1000 yards, you get an immersive viewing experience. Long 14.5mm eye relief and a 3mm exit pupil ensure comfortable observation.

Image Stabilization & Handling
The image stabilization system offers ±0.8° correction using gyro sensors and a microprocessor for precise adjustment. A centre focus wheel and ±3 dioptric correction provide easy fine tuning.
Powered by two AA alkaline or NiMH batteries, the Canon 12x36 IS III delivers up to approximately 9 hours of continuous use at 77°F (25°C), or around one hour at 14°F (-10°C).

Compact and Portable Design
Measuring just 6.9 inches in length and weighing a little over 23 oz, these binoculars are easy to carry all day, making them a practical choice for outdoor adventures.
